Summary 0002262: Add bulk callsign lookup in Logbook
Revision 2018-04-25 22:16 by WA9PIE
Description Context:

Users who import their logs from programs like N1MM complain that they have to open each individual QSO record and click the "callsign lookup button" in order to populate fields from the callsign lookup sources. They don't want to do this one-at-a-time.

The request is to enable bulk callsign lookup on selected records.

(This could actually apply to records imported from any third-party logging program. We hear it a lot from contesters who have used N1MM, N3FJP, Write Log... and so on. Point is to give folks a bulk callsign lookup option so they don't have to go one-by-one through several hundred QSOs to do lookups.)

The theory is that there is a "callsign lookup function". It should be the same function that is called when a callsign is looked up in the ALE. This is the same lookup function that should be used for this enhancement.
