Summary 0002856: Satellite Tracking: crash while viewing passes in text
Revision 2019-02-10 22:18 by WA9PIE
Description This crash is from the Dev Dashboard, so the repro is pretty weak. From the stack, though, we can see that the user has clicked the "Text" button in the toolbar on the "Passes" view. That should get some text information about the dispalyed passes, write them to a file, and then ask the shell to open the default editor for that file.

While the shell is waiting for the file to open, it pumps some messages. The pump catches a WM_TIMER message and dispatches it. The timer message causes a refresh of the Passes pane, and ends up crashing when it trips over a bad string pointer.

A spreadsheet with the details of the stack are attached.
