Summary | 0001730: Rotator - Yaesu Rotators via CAT command do not function properly
Description | Yaesu rotators connected to rig and controlled by cat command are off by 180 degrees. North/South stop does not fix this problem. Clue is that the range of the rotator is 450 degrees of rotation, +/- 255 from center (either 0/360 for north CENTER, or 180 for south CENTER). ***See Logfile dump in notes for more info.***
Steps To Reproduce | - Connect Rig Control to Yaesu rig with Yaesu rotator connected to it. - Launch Rotator - Connect to Yaesu Rotator via CAT - Observe headings on Rotator do not match actual headings of Yaesu rotator.

Related: Ticket #291705 |
The range of travel and offset are configurable settings in the Rotator app as shown in the attached. I just referred another customer to these settings for the same purpose and it resolved their problem. I'm going to refer this customer as well. |
I've contacted this customer and I'm waiting for him to set a 180 degree offset and confirm that this solved his problem. |
New Ticket report #859863 Asked the Customer the same as Mike did above. Resulting in only be able to set Serial Com Ports (for external controllers) There is no option to assign it to Yaesu CAT |
Ferry - can you explain this further? |
Standard Rotor controllers can be selected Via a Comport and then be given a offset. However certain Yaesu radio's have their own Rotor Port, this is controlled by CAT. In this case, Yaeasu CAT is NOT selectable (only com ports), meaning No offset can be given. |
