Summary0001887: Programmable Function Keys.
DescriptionTicket #574288:
W4PC - Rick,
Per your request, this is a reminder about an HRD enhancement to enable User-Programmable Function Keys for transmission of very brief sequences:
1.) CW (examples: {My Callsign}, {Exchange}, de {My Callsign}, QSL, TU)
2.) SSB (examples: Pre-recorded digital audio (my own voice for same transmissions as shown above for CW)

Rationale:Use of Function keys to trigger user-defined content (in lieu of positioning a mouse and clicking . . . or tapping a touch screen) allows the fingers to remain on the keyboard and more-rapidly trigger response(s) to a DX station.

Primary interest in user-defined function keys for CW. Interest in function keys for user-defined-pre-recorded ditital audio is secondary.
Thanks again (to you and also to G1MHU) for a great HRD presentation at HamCation (within the Children's Safety Village), and for seriously considering this enhancement request. 73, Tom - K7FA
