Summary0001890: transverter use etc in Satellite Tracker
DescriptionTicket#647969
Please refer this ticket to the software development group as I have already spoken to Katie at the support team and I think there is information included below that will be useful to you.

I am trying a trial version of HRD

I also use a 28mhz to 434-435mhz transverter in satellite work

I see based on your current (old) satellite module manual that at one time you had provisions for tranverter use in the "satellite module"
It would be nice in my case to see the 435mhz freq. range on the screen and not 28 MHz which I have to see now.
(I also know you have transverter support for the main module but that doesn't do me any good in the satellite module.)
There are many of us out there that use transverters in satellite work so I don't know why this would be eliminated in the latest versions of HRD?
Is it possible to still by modifying some config file for satellite frequencies to incorporate transverter use in HRD satellite module??

Also another totally unrelated subject regarding the use of 2 separate icom radios in satellite work using HRD, in my case the original icom 706 and the icom 746pro:

Doppler Frequency Correction

Using HRD: Must use 2 Com Ports, one for each radio each with its own CIV address.
One radio works fine, 2nd radio Doppler updates sluggish or non existent in Doppler correction mode.

Using Software SatPc32: One Com Port handles both radios.
A technique you describe as a Kludge in your "Knowledge Base" however the SatPc32 kludge works perfectly with crisp Doppler updates for both radios and what you are using for icom radios currently does not seem to work well at all at least in my case.

I think your software package is amazing but I thought you would appreciate some observations from a trial satellite user.

Thanks
