|Summary||0002721: Documentation: YouTube video doesn't give complete instructions for switching to MariaDB|
|Description||This YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7f-RZOnmDs is used by customers who want to switch to MariaDB.|
The instructions are incomplete. STarting with a default installation (with the default My Logbook Access database), the video tells users to install MariaDB and get it configured. The instructions suggest deleting the default Microsoft Access-backed database.
However, the instructions don't explain the necessary step of changing the default database used by network connections to the Logbook. Without changing this setting, client apps connecting to the logbook can/will continue to [try to] use the default logbook database, since that's what the application is configured to do.
The resolution of the related bugs make this incorrect configuration error more apparent, but the video should be updated to explain the setting and instruct users to update it when changing the database configuration.
