|Summary||0003078: The "3rd-party Serial Port" dialog in Rig Control has an unused drop-down for CI-V addresses|
The "3rd-party Serial Port" dialog in Rig Control has a drop-down for CI-V addresses.
This drop-down is initially populated with the address "0x00", which is not a valid CI-V address. Once selected in the dropdown, the value cannot be unselected. But the value doesn't appear to be used by anything, ever.
If this setting isn't useful, it should be removed. If it's meant to be hooked up to something, we need to figureout what it's meant to do and make it work.
|Steps To Reproduce|
1) Fire up Rig control. Don't connect to a radio
2) In the "Tools" menu, use the "Hardware" tear-off to click on the "3rd-Party Serial Support" command
3) Use the "CI-V Addr" drop-down to select "0x00".
BUG#1) Can't reset it to blank.
BUG#2) By static analysis of the code, nothing ever reads or uses this setting.
BUG#3) The documentation doesn't mention the setting -- the docs doen't even mention support for the CI-V protocol in this feature.
