Summary0003182: Logbook's ADIF import feature should batch database statements
DescriptionThe ADIF import feature of the Logbook reads data from a file and inserts it into the the Logbook database. Imports will vary in size: maybe a few records, maybe thousands of records.

The code which implements this feature doesn't utilize transactions. Each record inserted to the database is its own transaction, since the connection will probably default to using auto-commit. The code should be modified to turn off auto-commit (if the database implementation supports that) then batch up 50 or a 100 rows into a transaction before committing them. This will have a positive impact on the time it takes to import larger sets.
