|Summary||0003533: Lookup pane in Logbook doesn't update highlight of current radio band or mode|
|Description||The attached annotated screenshot says that band and mode information returned for matches to the current callsign should be in brackets. If the list contains "20m, 30m, 40m", for example, and the radio is tuned to "40m", the 40m entry should be in square brackets as "20m, 30m, [40m]". |
The brackets do appear if the band or mode is selected in the radio at the time the lookup operation runs. But the markers are not updated when the radio changes bands or modes.
|Steps To Reproduce||1) Start up the Logbook. This issue reproduces with either 6.6 or 6.7 builds. Might reproduce with earlier builds, too.|
2) Start up Rig Control and connect to your radio.
3) Tune the radio anywhere in the 40m band
4) In the Logbook, open a non-empty database.
5) Use the "Lookup" command in the "View" menu of the Logbook to show the Lookup pane
6) Enter a callsign and wait for the lookup to populate
7) Note that the "Bands" displayed for the lookup will include "[40m]".
8) Tune the radio to 20m
BUG#1) The brackets remain around [40m].

This is an interesting idea. I consider it an enhancement. Actually, quite a good idea.
I think Erik added the brackets a long time ago as a test mechanism. I don't think it was ever intended to change.
So we'll hold this for future improvement. I'm going to change the Category from Bug to Enhancement.
