Summary0003601: HRD Rotor module problems.
DescriptionThe ROTOR Log File is CONTINUOUSLY being written to as long as the module is running, EVERY SECOND, with the message "Protocol 0x4 not supported" which can create a really large log file real quick. My rotor IS working ok. Please see the attached document for more specific and precise information.
Since I also have an MDS RC-1Y controller I tried it again using the MDS RC-1 Rotator selection and have attached the Logfile for it in text format. The Protocol 0x4 not supported is gone but there are other constant GET STATUS messages being received. Now the RC-1Y that I have is for Yaesu controllers and the rotator selection in HRD is for the RC-1 controller which may have a different set of protocols. It took almost a minute and a half when I selected the configuration for modifications for it to bring up the window..

Additional InformationCustomer indicated that the issue is not that the HRD rotor is not working. When connected it will continue to write to the Log file the whole length of time it is connected. Customer indicates that it does it with both of the rotors he has.

Using MDS RC-1H with the DCU-1 Protocol.
Rotator program will not talk with the controller
Customer have tried different protocols.
Other software like N1MM works just fine with the controller, so something is odd in our Coding.
